go-to meals: buttery chicken sando

This is one of my favorite go to meals on a lazy night!  I hope you enjoy it as much as I do...

buttery chicken sando
butter lettuce
buttermilk ranch dressing {hidden valley is my pick}
bread {organic sprouted is my favorite}
best rotisserie chicken you can find {whole foods has delicious reasonably priced ones-best when day old}

Toast bread, slather with ranch, add lettuce and stack the chicken.  Easy and delicious!

cozy blankets tied up with ribbon...what a fabulous idea?
this is a great way to store blankets while not in use!

+ FALL SPECIAL ADDITIONS

one of my favorite seasonal things is "special editions" of brands that I already love.
spice cake candles & deep romantic burgundy nail polishes make for fun fall treats.

do you have any fall favorites that are "special editions?"

2012 Calendar

Yep, I'm already thinking about 2012 calendars.  Crazy, I know. Anyway, I've always enjoyed Red Stamp's free printable calendars.  Of course I've already printed this one out and laminated it for my desk. If you're just as jazzed about getting a calendar up...you can find this one and others here

diy: delicious cinnamon & sugar lip scrub

I've used my cinnamon oil for a delicious lip scrub that I must share!  Legitimately, you could lick it off your lips it's that good.  Lip scrubs are a wonderful way to exfoliate the lips during winter months when they become dry and they only take a minute to make at home.  This is the recipe I used:

2 tablespoons of cinnamon oil {see this post to make your own}
1/2 tablespoon of raw sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons of brown sugar
a drop of vanilla

Mix all ingredients together and store in any small container.  I love the ones I purchased in store from here.

To apply: Use finger to scrub mixture on lips in a circular motion and rinse {leaving on lips overnight works wonders too}.

Also, this is a really easy & inexpensive gift to make for the Holidays!

diy: cinnamon oil

I wanted to use cinnamon oil for a project I'm whipping up...but didn't want to pay the price tag (can be pricey). Decided to make my own by doing the instructions above.  It's been just about 2 weeks and I'm really excited to start using it.  Smells divine!  I'll post the project soon.  Happy Friday!

Organize: Wall Accessories

Aren't these the perfect wall accessory to keep all things organized?  Not only do they save space on a desk or counter, but they are stylish.  Love that you could keep them simple, or add a little label to the mounts.
